Projects
Organize client work into projects with tasks and time.
What is a Project?
A project is a body of work you are delivering for a client. Once a deal is won or a scope is agreed, you create a project to track work, time, tasks, documents, and financials all in one place.

- Status — Active, On Hold, Completed, Cancelled

What You Can See on a Project's Page
A project's detail page is the central hub for all project-related activity:
- Project info (name, dates, budget, status)
- Team members assigned to this project
- Tasks — all work items for this project
- Time entries — hours logged by your team
- Invoices issued for this project
- Proposals associated with this project
- Documents attached to this project
- Tickets raised for this project
- Notes from your team
- Onboarding steps (if an onboarding workflow is attached)
- Capacity allocations — hours assigned per team member
Adding Team Members to a Project
- Open the project.
- In the Team section, click Add Member.
- Select a team member from your workspace.
Only team members added to a project can have time logged against it and will appear in capacity planning for that project.
To remove a member, click the remove (×) button next to their name.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a project have multiple clients? A project is linked to one primary contact and one organization. If work spans multiple clients, create separate projects or use the notes/documents section to cross-reference.
How do I track how much time is being spent on a project? Use the Time section (see Time Tracking topic). All time entries logged against a project's tasks or directly against the project appear under the project's time tab.
How do I see if the project is profitable? Go to Reports → Project Financial Summary. This shows total revenue invoiced versus total hours and cost for each project.
What is the difference between a project and a task? A project is the overall engagement. Tasks are individual work items within the project. A project can have many tasks assigned to different team members.
