Time Tracking
Log billable and non-billable time against work.
What is Time Tracking?
Time tracking lets you and your team record how many hours are spent on client work. This helps you understand project profitability, bill clients accurately, and track team utilization.
Viewing Time Entries
Go to Time in the top menu.
Filter time entries by:
- Status — Pending, Approved
- Billable — Billable or non-billable hours
- Project — A specific project
- Contact — A specific client
- Organization — A specific company
- Task or Ticket — Hours logged to a specific task or support ticket
- User — A specific team member's time
- Date range — Filter by period
Use the Summary view to see totals and aggregates across your filters.
Logging a Time Entry
- Click Log Time (or New Time Entry).
- Fill in the details:
- Date — The date the work was done
- Duration — How many hours (e.g., 1.5 for 1 hour 30 minutes)
- Project — Which project this time belongs to
- Billable — Toggle whether these hours are billable to the client
- Task — The specific task this time relates to (optional)
- Ticket — The support ticket this time relates to (optional)
- Appointment — The meeting this time relates to (optional)
- Contact — The client this time is for (optional if project is selected)
- Notes — What you worked on during this time
- Click Save.
Billable vs Non-Billable Time
- Billable — Hours that will be charged to the client and can be included on invoices
- Non-Billable — Internal time (admin work, training, team meetings) that is not charged to clients
Always set billability correctly so that your invoices and profitability reports are accurate.
Approving Time Entries
Time entries go through an approval process before they can be invoiced:
- Team members submit time entries (status: Pending).
- An Owner, Admin, or Manager reviews and Approves them.
- Approved time entries are ready to be added to an invoice.
To approve an entry:
- Open the time entry.
- Click Approve.
To unapprove (if a correction is needed):
- Open the approved entry.
- Click Unapprove and make any changes needed.
Creating an Invoice from Time Entries
- Go to Invoices.
- Click New Invoice or check Unbilled Time.
- The system shows all approved, billable time entries that have not yet been invoiced.
- Select the entries to include and generate the invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I log time in fractions of an hour? Yes. Enter decimal values — for example, 0.5 for 30 minutes, 1.75 for 1 hour 45 minutes.
Can I edit a time entry after submitting it? Yes, as long as it has not been approved. Once approved, contact your workspace Owner or Admin to unapprove it if a correction is needed.
Can I see a summary of hours across all projects? Yes. Go to Time → Summary view. You can also see this in Reports → Team Utilisation or Project Financial Summary.
Does time tracking integrate with a timer? Manual entry is the current method. A live timer feature is on our product roadmap.
